camera quality good. set up easy. battery life is good. but needs a lot of sun light to keep it fully charged. there is a motion sensor feature so you get notifications when required. budget friendly because it’s a solar camera batteries are optional so cost savings there. you need to have good wifi coverage around the house. overall good connections too. i highly recommend.

I am over the moon with this cctv. In my neighbourhood a burglary happened not long ago so I wanted to up my home security. This thing was super easy to setup, although I had to get up the ladder. But once mounted hard work done. The image quality is pretty crisp, especially in daylight. The night also well covered, everything visible, the footage really holds up! The app works okay, but it took some time to setup, I had errors with captchas and wifi password not going though, but eventually it all worked. I love that it is solar powered, I can alternatively power it with usb if needed be, but happy that I don't have to mess around with the cables. I am happy with the build, no need for anything fancy as long as it works and this arcctv works hands down. I can happily recommend this to a friend.

Firs impressions of this are good. It comes in a nice compact box, and the camera itself looks sturdy and well made. There's a decent weight to it, but it's also compact, thanks to it's in-built solar panel.I was confused by mentions of a base station, as I couldn't find details about it, and didn't know if it was required. It turns out that it doesn't need a base station or anything else to operate, and it works with the app just fine.You'll need to pay some attention to wear you mount this camera. It's designed to only be wall mounted, and it also needs to be somewhere that has regular sun through the day. Because the solar panel is built into the camera itself, the top of the camera needs to be able to see the sun, which may limit options if you wanted to mount it under a roof or in a north facing direction. Overall though, installation is easy. Plus there's a USB-C port on the base so you can connect it to power if you have an outdoor USB supply.I wasn't so happy with the app, which I found both over complicated and buggy. It wants you to enter codes from your email, solve CAPTHCAs and generally jump through hoops to set it up. I found that when entering my WiFi details, the password field was scrolled off the screen and I couldn't scroll to make it visible, so I had to guess what I was being asked. A little app testing would have been nice.I did eventually get it set up and the camera gave a nice clear picture with minimal lag, which I liked. The app seems to do everything most other apps can, but it's just a bit frustrating to use. I think they'd benefit from having a usability designer on the team because it's all just a bit frustrating. But it works.Overall, I like the hardware but the software and general experience needs some work. I hope they can sort that out, and maybe even update the app to fix some of it, because I do like the camera.

This is a security camera that doesn't need to be plugged into the mains. This is excellent for areas around your property where there is no available power sources. I have a camera on my garage powered from inside the garage covering the front of the house but at the rear I have no easily available power for a camera. This has solved that problem being solar powered. At first I was a little sceptical as to whether it would get sufficient light to run constantly (it has an internal battery for night time use charged during daylight hours) however after testing on the side of the house it appears to work without any issues (luckily the side of the house I need the coverage for is south facing so gets plenty light).The setup process of the camera was really easy, download the app and it takes you through the process step by step and only took a few minutes to do. The app is very simple to use to view the live footage or recorded footage if you install a micro SD card (not included). The camera can also be controlled from the app to pan and tilt if you need to adjust the view. It also has a two way audio feature so you can hear what is going on and speak through the camera.The box contains all the mounting screws and plugs needed to attach this to the wall.This is a great little outdoor security camera if you have issues with mains power availability. At ￡59.99 (at the time of writing) this is really good value for money

It keeps things tidy and compact, but you lose the flexibility of positioning a separate panel for better sunlight. In a bright, open spot it works nicely and keeps the battery topped up, but place it somewhere shaded or with constant motion triggering recordings, and you may find yourself reaching for the charging cable more often than expected, especially in winter.Video quality is decent for a 4MP unit, giving clear enough detail to recognise faces and general activity. Night vision performs well too, with the option for colour mode adding a bit more clarity in low light. The motion detection is responsive, and alerts come through promptly, though it is wise to avoid pointing it at busy areas unless you enjoy a constant stream of notifications.A couple of useful tips. Stick to 2.4GHz WiFi if the camera is far from your router, as it tends to be more stable over distance. After overcoming a little difficulty with the pairing process persistence prevailed and I was able to pair and activate the cameras. They should be installed in a way that allows easy access because the cameras may sometimes require a manual recharge from an AC adapter and the AC charging was requires for each camera before placement in a solar receptive area. Once that was done there has been no problem.

I bought this ARCCTV solar camera to expand my home security setup, and it has been working wonderfully. The 4MP 2K video resolution is sharp and clear, making it easy to pick out facial details and license plates during the day. The night vision is equally impressive, providing clear video even in pitch black conditions. Having dual band WiFi support for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz made connection setup smooth and eliminates buffering issues when streaming live footage. The solar panel keeps the internal battery topped up constantly, so I have not needed to bring the camera inside for manual charging even during overcast days. The PIR motion sensor triggers quickly and sends push notifications to my phone without constant false alarms from wind or passing bugs. Two way audio works clearly for speaking with delivery drivers at the front door. Mounting was straightforward, and the IP66 weatherproof housing has held up fine through heavy rain. I was unsure about getting solar powered cameras as I didn't know if the batteries would be charged sufficiently. Anyway, I went and ordered two, one for front and one for back gardens. The cameras arrived very well packed and the cameras seem to be very well made and robust. I charged the front camera fully, 100%, and the back garden camera to only 50% just to see how good the solar charge is.This was two weeks ago, the front camera which gets the most traffic is still reading 100% and the rear camera which only gets sun on it in the late afternoon has increased from 50% to 85% so I am impressed with the performance. Both cameras give very clear images and send signals to the phone within seconds. Very impressed. I have yet to see how they perform in the winter but for now I highly recommend them.

It's been easy to use, I have used other cams from this brand so its familiar. Since it's completely wireless and features a solar panel built right into the top of the unit, installation was an absolute breeze. I didn't have to worry about running cables through the wall or figuring out where to mount a separate, clunky solar panel. Just a quick heads up: you do need to already have the C3 base kit for this specific camera to work!The 4MP picture quality is super clear during the day, and the night vision holds up surprisingly well when it gets dark. I also really appreciate that it supports 5G WiFi, which makes loading the live feed on my phone much snappier compared to my older cameras that only use 2.4G. The motion sensor is also pretty accurate, usually picking up actual people rather than just every tree branch blowing in the wind.If you already have the compatible base station and need another angle covered in your yard, this waterproof camera is a fantastic, low-maintenance option that basically keeps its own battery topped up for you.

There’s a lot to like about this camera. It looks and feels very well made, with decent quality plastics. It has a nice weight to it, adding to the quality feel.Setup was easy, download the app, turn the camera on and you’re up and running in a relatively short amount of time. The app is straight forward too, with the usual features available. It all works well.The picture quality is excellent, with great low light capability. In pitch black conditions, the camera still has a clear image, using IR illumination. There’s also a spot light built in, but I personally feel that this attracts too much attention to the camera. It is however very effective at illuminating the area, allowing a colour picture in darker conditions.The only issue I’ve had is that, although a nice idea, the built in solar panel isn’t providing enough energy to keep the camera working indefinitely. I’m sure that if you have an ideal location for the camera where the panel can be aligned in the optimum position while still being in a suitable place to capture the area, it may work well, but this can be more of a challenge in the UK, and limits the use of the camera.Overall I do however like this camera and believe it represents good value at it's price point.

Both daytime and night vision footage are clear, and the camera captures enough detail to identify visitors and activity outside my home. The PIR motion detection works reliably and sends notifications quickly when movement is detected. I've found the alerts to be accurate, with fewer false alarms than I expected. The connection to my Wi-Fi network has also remained stable, and support for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks is a nice advantage. One of my favorite features is the solar panel. Even after weeks of use, I haven't had to worry about recharging the battery manually. The weatherproof design has also handled rain and changing weather conditions without any issues. Overall, this camera provides dependable security, excellent image quality, and the convenience of solar power.

This camera ended up being useful for monitoring a garage and side entrance where running mains power would have been inconvenient. The solar charging feature was the main reason I chose it, since the location receives enough daylight to keep the internal battery topped up through most of the week. Even after several evenings of motion alerts, the battery level has stayed fairly healthy.Installation was simpler than dealing with extension wiring and the waterproof housing seems suitable for outdoor exposure. Video quality holds up well in daylight, with enough detail to make out faces and vehicles from a reasonable distance. Motion notifications arrive quickly through the app and the camera wakes from standby without much delay. During darker nights the image becomes slightly softer, though still usable for general security monitoring.
